A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 6215 AS INTRODUCED 9-22-04

House Bill 6215 would amend the Revised School Code to insert the correct citations to the Michigan Election Law in the code's definitions of "intermediate school district election" and "regular school election."  School elections are now conducted under the Michigan Election Law rather than the school law, with the passage of recent so-called election consolidation legislation.
