SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL NO. 5882

                                                                             A bill to amend 1979 PA 218, entitled                                             

"Adult foster care facility licensing act,"                                 

by amending section 13a (MCL 400.713a), as added by 1992 PA 176.            

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

1       Sec. 13a.  (1) Application fees for an individual,                          

2   partnership, firm, corporation, association, governmental                   

3   organization, or nongovernmental organization licensed or seeking           

4   licensure under this act are as follows:                                    

5       (a) Application fee for a temporary license:                                

6        (i) Family home...................................   $ 65.00           

7        (ii) Small group home (1-6).......................    105.00            

8        (iii) Small group home (7-12).....................    135.00            

9        (iv) Large group home.............................    170.00            

10       (v) Congregate facility...........................    220.00           

11       (vi) Camp.........................................     40.00            

1       (b) Application fee for subsequent licenses:                                

2        (i) Family home...................................  $  25.00           

3        (ii) Small group home (1-6).......................     25.00            

4        (iii) Small group home (7-12).....................     60.00            

5        (iv) Large group home.............................    100.00            

6        (v) Congregate facility...........................    150.00           

7        (vi) Camp.........................................     25.00            

8       (2) Fees collected  pursuant to under this act shall be                    

9   credited to the general fund of the state to be appropriated by             

10  the legislature to the department for the enforcement of this               

11  act.                                                                        

12      (3) The department shall use a portion of the fees collected                

13  to inspect new adult foster care facilities for fiscal year                 

14  1991-1992.                                                                  

15  (4) A fee collected by the department under this act shall                  

16  not be refunded.

17      Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act does not take                      

18  effect unless Senate Bill No. 1215 of the 92nd Legislature is               

19  enacted into law.
