A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 6091 AS INTRODUCED May 8, 2008

This bill would establish a new sunset date for five fees collected by the Department of Environmental Quality.

            Part 31             Floodplains

            Part 33             Aquatic Nuisance Control

            Part 301           Inland Lakes and Streams

            Part 323           Shorelands Protection and Management

            Part 325L         Great Lakes Submerged Lands

The new sunset date for these fees would be October 1, 2011.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There would be no change in state revenues if this bill is enacted in its current form. Approximately $2,000,000 is collected annually.
